Father Considers
the Pikey's Proposal

A Regional Love Story

She's a catch, our Mavourneen,
sweet as cherry pie,
sugar dumplin', luv's hot queen.
Our dadda babber, my ole bean,
handsome china, sucks a sigh
as down the road the pikey slides;
his mate the chav, my man,
the gyppo's love derides.
No diamond geezer, he confides
his lust desire and kidda plan
to court our pumpkin honey chou.
But my aul fella, pot 'n pan,
the wuss's words he'll spew,
the spassa bazza's love's not true
and mister matey's arse he'll tan.
