Riddles Are To Be

'Why is a raven
like a writing-desk?' the Hatter
wanted to know.
'I haven't the slightest idea,'
was his only answer.

But you might consider
this, my irascible Hatter:

the Ravinical bird
is much too clever
for its own good

his talent flies across pages
snatching random words
no two words alike

in the same line
if the line is kept short
but stopping just short
of the edge

of a desk that claims
to be writing.
