The same old thing, done well, can be
So much more satisfactory.


 
Faute de Mieux
 
Perfection is impossible to find:
We think, “Oh, yes!” then “No!” then “Never mind.”
 
Sometimes we settle for the good enough:
To live with disappointment can be tough.
 
At other times we go with the less bad:
We later learn, again, we have been had.
 

 
All Aboard
 
No poet has to travel far
     To find some inspiration,
But why should anyone forgo
     A get-away vacation?
