        Quotidian

From fitful sleep, I spring alive,
        Dislodging night’s distress before
My iPhone clock rings out at 5.
I rouse my flock and voice rapport,

        Dislodging night’s distress before
        Embarking on my work-bound drive.
I rouse my flock and voice rapport
With traffic woes when I arrive.

        Embarking on my work-bound drive
To stem the email flow, I war
With traffic woes, when I arrive
Upon despair. How grand’s this chore

To stem the email flow? I war
With fitful sleep, then spring alive
        Upon despair I’ll quell before
My iPhone clock rings out at 5.
