The Old …
The Forge, The Rectory, The Mill––
villages boast them; they rejoice
in pedigree and former use
since, after all, they had no choice.
The blacksmith’s skill, the miller’s craft,
and even God have had their day.
And now The Library – re-used
but not in a domestic way.
Gateway to knowledge, now brought down,
to pampering and canine chic
for owners who prefer to books
Dog Grooming, and a Pet Boutique.
