Environs

Editorial
I’d like to thank everyone who submitted poems to the environs edition of Snakeskin. There was a wonderful response.

There are poems in this edition about the environs of childhood homes, new housing estates, Mars, a casino, an urban farm, a shed, a summer festival, the sea, the sky, Siri, loneliness, literature itself and more.

I hope you enjoy this month’s environs of Snakeskin as much as I have enjoyed selecting them. I’d like to leave you with something D A Prince wrote in her submission email that struck a chord with me: ‘we are shaped even more by reading than by place’.
