Things to Repeat
They say that you should have a bucket list,
How you will fill your time until you die;
I'd rather live again the things I've missed,
New ways to give them all another try;
Given a chance for moments from before,
Seeing again the sights that blew my mind;
To feel the awe and wonder just once more,
Or sense the love from people who were kind;
Reliving when the waves turned into spray,
Excited when I saw a Gannet dive;
Provincial it may sound, but done this way,
Each one would keep my memories alive;
And if good fortune stays and plays its part,
The end may prove much better than the start.
