The Honeymoon

Ah! My memory of all else may fade.
But the memory of my honey moon;
That life’s only greatest day!
There were 40 days to it in whole.
Each resembled the one 24 hours!.
He  bathed me all over every day;
With  his sweet earnest kisses;
Alas! Nothing further; Nothing!

On return I carried beside my burden;
A load of gifts to all our families…
To our friends the lie! “It was sweet!”
To my family; tears and the truth.
And I in tears handed back to them,
My virginity as additional gift!!
