A resentful person was complaining on Radio 4 last month, after his dismal stage musical was roasted by the critics. "Nobody ever raised a statue to a critic," he whined.
In homage to this gentleman, we print this photograph of the statue to the great critic Saint-Beuve in the Luxembourg Gardens, Paris.
